AxiomCPA – Joey Brannon, CPA, P.C., does a nice job of mixing accounting content and general interest videos and comments in this easy-to-read blog.

Brumley’s Blog – Scott Brumley, CPA, offers accounting tips as well as comments on technology.

Deduct Me Blog – Kara Haas, CPA, P.C., writes this engaging blog and makes great use of catchy headlines to grab her readers’ attention.

Don’t Mess with Taxes – Journalist Kay Bell writes this informative blog providing tax and personal finance tips.

Empower Your Business – This blog focuses on accounting for businesses. Written by Nick Roberts of New Zealand.

The Fraud Files Blog – Tracy Coenen keeps this niche blog on fraud, scams, scandals, and court cases.

Golden Practices Blog – Michelle Golden provides this popular and high-profile blog, and she also publishes a fairly comprehensive list of accounting-related blogs.

The Leadership Notebook – Although this blog by leadership coach Mary Werner is for accountants themselves rather than their clients, I’m impressed by Ms. Werner’s signature in each post, which adds a personal touch, and her use of graphics and epigraphs.

It’s Taxing – Written by Bond Beebe accountants and advisors, this blog is clean, easy to read, and informative.

Phil Hogan’s blog – This chartered accountant’s blog is set up with several teaser posts on the home page that entice you to click and read more.

The Potts Report – Potts and Company, CPAs, make excellent use of images in their posts, and their headlines are short but also descriptive.

Small Business Blog – CPA firm Cherry, Bekaert & Holland provide this substantive blog on accounting for small businesses.

Social CPAs – Here’s another blog for accountants, and it addresses the important topic of “social media insights for the accounting profession.” Written by Barry MacQuarrie, CPA.

Access To Your Portal
When I prepare your return, I will send you an email with log-in instructions. The first time I will give you a temporary password.  After logging in, you will be prompted to change your password to a permanent password only you will remember. You can access your portal anytime thereafter by going to our home page http://brumley.com and enter your username (email address) and the password you chose. If you have trouble we can always do a remote support session to help you.

 

Following the ceremony, a reception hosted by the bride’s parents took place in the house and on the grounds of Castle Ladyhawke.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward T. Clark of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Olga Rico of Las Vegas, NV and Mr. Leo Hernandez  of Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

The bride received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott Brumley of Charlotte, North Carolina.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Pratt Brumley of Charlotte, NC and the late Mr. Thomas Moore Brumley, Jr., Mrs. Theresa Gromek Nogay of Weirton, WV and the late Mr. Edward Michael Nogay.

The groom received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and is employed by Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington.

The Bride was given in marriage by her father.

 Attending the bride as maid of honor  was the bride’s sister, Britttany Clark of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Bridesmaids were

• the groom’s sister, Jessica Brumley, of Washington, DC,
• the bride’s cousin, Natasha Aragon of Las Vegas, Nevada,
• the grooms cousin, Alana Pevets,   of West Chester, Ohio, and
• Darcey Ridge  of Cornelius,  North Carolina,
• and friends, Grace Ciresi  of Huntersville, North Carolina,
• Toni Simmons  of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and
• Jessica Curtis   of Raleigh, North Carolina,

 The groom’s father, Thomas Scott Brumley of Charlotte, North Carolina, served as best man.

 Groomsmen were

• the groom’s brother, Benjamin Brumley ,  of Chapel Hill, North Carolina,
• the grooms cousin, Stephen Carey   of Atlanta, Georgia,
• and friends Travis Thompson,  of Charlotte, North Carolina,
• Brian Quinn of Huntersville, North Carolina,
• Kyle Rodgers of Cary, North Carolina,
• Brian Westneat of Concord, New Hampshire, and
• Trevor Parker of Greensboro, North Carolina.

The groom’s ring is the ring worn by his grandfather, the late Thomas Moore Brumley, Jr.

After a honeymoon trip to Alaska, the couple will make their home in Redmond, Washington.
